Session Co-Chair and Presenter at SLAI–ICAI 2025

On 20th November 2025, I had the privilege of serving as a Session Co-Chair at the 9th Sri Lanka Association for Artificial Intelligence – International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SLAI–ICAI 2025), held at The Open University of Sri Lanka, Nawala.

The conference brought together a vibrant community of AI researchers, practitioners, and industry innovators, with 187 full paper submissions from both local and international contributors. After a rigorous review process, 86 papers were accepted, and 74 were presented across 14 technical sessions. It was inspiring to witness the breadth of ongoing research and the collaborative spirit driving AI forward.

During the conference, I also had the opportunity to present one of our recent research works titled:

"A Comparative Study on Nature-Inspired Algorithms for Finding Optimal Policies in Reinforcement Learning."

Being part of SLAI–ICAI 2025 as both a presenter and a session co-chair was a truly rewarding experience. It offered a platform to share knowledge, connect with brilliant minds, and contribute to Sri Lanka’s growing AI research community. I’m grateful to the Sri Lanka Association for Artificial Intelligence for the recognition and the opportunity to support this year’s conference.
